The Hack Engineering Oil Cooler Thermostat Delete is an effective way of reducing oil temperatures on your track or race S50B30, S50B32 or S54 engine. This can also be used with M5X engines converted to run an S5X oil filter housing. S50 and S54 oil filter housings include provisions for an oil cooler, and also contain a thermostat that closes flow to the cooler until oil temperatures rise to operating temperature. However, even when open this thermostat is restrictive, not allowing the full flow of oil to pass through the cooler. Our delete fits in place of the thermostat and allows a full flow of oil to the cooler, promoting far greater oil cooling. Made in the UK. Not recommended for road cars.
